Always Do Your Best

The Four Agreements, Always Do Your Best

Last week we discussed the third agreement: Don’t Make Assumptions.  Let’s finish up the Four Agreements by breaking down the last Agreement: Always Do Your Best.

Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick.  Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgement, self-abuse, and regret.

Here is the best part of this agreement, your best will change over time, you shouldn’t judge the old you in the current you mindset, that would be unfair.  This doesn’t mean that you forget the first part…Always Do Your Best, which means that you will work harder, show up earlier and be more committed than ever before.  Be committed to you and yourself first, become the person who makes you proud.  Be the best spouse, parent, sibling, child, boss, and doctor.  Commit greater with your family, show up fully and be present, make amazing memories and enjoy life to it’s fullest.  Invest in your spirituality, connect with the power greater than yourself and be reminded of your place in the universe and your responsibility to give back.

As a doctor you can always do better.  Remember why you are called to be a chiropractor, what your purpose is.  Your first job is to Get Sick People Well…do that, do that with integrity and high morals and conviction and passion.  Your second job is to make this profession better, how are you making chiropractic better, how are you building up other chiropractors and our philosophy?  How can you increase your reach in your community?  How can you influence more people to know that healing comes from within and that our bodies are meant, are designed, to heal from within.  Are you willing to get out of your comfort zone and tell the truth, to speak to the masses and show them a different way, another option.

Live your life to make yourself proud.  Set your goals so high they make you uncomfortable.  Create a life and legacy that you can enjoy now and stand for.  Step into your light, step into your responsibility and become your potential!

If I can ever be of any help, reach out.
