What’s Your Why?

By February 7, 2017Uncategorized

Why did you become a chiropractor?  Was it because of a story, an experience or a connection?  Was it simply a business choice?  Was it the easiest path? (I’m thinking this isn’t the right answer!)  So WHY?

It’s amazing how many people go into chiropractic after they, or someone they love had an experience with a chiropractor typically through an injury or a painful event.  BUT they didn’t become a chiropractor because chiropractic helped their pain or their injury.  They, (you and I) often became a chiropractor because we learned there is so much more to this profession and so much more to healing and being optimal.

Why does this matter?  It changes EVERYTHING!  Patients are inspired by you, by your passion, your excitement, your drive. They are excited to learn that their bodies are capable of so much more. That they are capable of healing from within!  And, that health doesn’t come in a bottle!  Imagine that.

I discussed last week what patients want…they want to regain their health, they want to have the best health they have ever had. When you stay in a pain relief model you lose them, you do a disservice to them because you didn’t share what got YOU into this profession. You didn’t give them a choice to choose health, and life and vitality! You forgot your why.

It’s there, it hasn’t left….it may have collected dust and is harder to find, but you can find it and reconnect to your WHY. You can be the doctor that you always wanted to be. Tell the truth, share your why, share the story of chiropractic and fall in love with this healing art all over again.  Now go do it!
